While it may appear that I have been ignoring this site, truth is, I have been attending to, creating, and glazing pots. Sometimes it’s hard to do everything, the books, the marketing, the creation of product, etc. However, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I really do enjoy the minutiae of small business. It’s new for me, my first career was in education. I was a para professional at an elementary school for 23 years. I loved each and every moment with kids. But I have to say I really do like having more control over my day to day schedule and the places that creativity takes me.

We are packed and leaving for Palisade, Colorado. I was accepted into the Colorado Wine Festival! I am honored and excited to be a part of this event. I have had boxed sets in my head for a couple of years now, and decided to push through and make those for this event. The sets are handmade cups, napkins, wine bottle coaster and a corkscrew. It’s been fun seeing those take shape. Since I do not work in a bubble, I have family and friends who have made suggestions as to the appearance of the boxes, how to pull it all together, listened to my frustrations over finding the right packaging, and encouraged me all the way.

The Table Reinvented came about when we were going through some family china we had inherited. There are no longer hard and fast rules about how to set a table for an event. Let us mix that lovely china and crystal with some fun handmade ware! Find some colorful napkins to spice up the appearance. Flowers, stoneware, porcelain can all mix and meld. More on this later.
